  1. about six months give or take a month. If you can't find a home for them eat them good BBQ

  2. You are irresponsible and shouldn't be allowed to keep anymore than a rock.

  3. i have rabbits and they breed you have to wait like 1-2 months. Then theyll breed and go at it.

  4. Before breeding your rabbits here are some points to remember:

    1) Both the buck and doe need to be of a suitable breeding age (in most cases they should be over 6 months but with larger breeds it is best to wait until they are 10 months)

    2) Ideally both should be of the same breed unless you are breeding for pets.

    3) The buck should be smaller than the doe.

    4) They should both be healthy and free from any genetic defects that could be passed on.

    5) Never breed brother to sister, other combinations are ok eg: mother to son,but I would not recommend this until you have a good understanding of the genetics within line breeding.

    6) Unless you are planning on keeping the kits you will need to find them all homes,(depending on the breed rabbits can have between 3-12 kits in a litter) You may have to advertise and this all costs.

    7) I get my kits checked by a vet before being sold as I personally don't feel experienced enough to check for teeth and eye problems, again this all costs.

    8) You will need a separate hutch to keep the kits in once weaned, and if they haven't been sold by 16 weeks you will need to separate sisters and brothers as well, requiring another spare hutch.

    9) You will also need to consider the costs of extra bedding and food, you should supply a weeks supply of food to new owners so as not to upset the rabbits digestive system.

    10) The most important thing is that you have the time for breeding your rabbits. Doe's produce more waste when with a litter, this in turn can attract more flies and as the kits will be too young for vaccinations it is important to keep the hutch clean.

In some cases you may be required to hand-rear a litter which is very time consuming. In the first few weeks it can take 20 mins to feed 1 kit alone and feeds are every 4-6 hours!!!

Remember there is little ,if any money to be made from breeding and selling rabbits as most breeders will tell you.One of the main reason's for breeding is for showing and in turn improving a breed by size, looks or colour ect...This also keeps some of the rarer breeds alive.

Another reason for breeding is as a hobby,I breed my rabbits purely for pleasure to produce friendly pets,I still follow the BRC guidelines though, and once my children are a bit older I too hope to enter the world of rabbit showing.

A small breed doe is normally ready to mate when she is 5 months old, and a buck is ready at 6 months. The medium size doe is ready to breed when she is 6 months old and the buck at 7 months. The heavy breed doe is ready at 8 months and the buck is ready at 9 months.

  5. Oh geesh, another one of you irresponsible breeders. What are you going to do with all the babies?  Do you have homes for ALL of them?? All possible TWELVE? Because a lot of rabbits that end up in shelters are euthanized because no one wants them.

Can you even s*x rabbits? How will you seperate a litter and stop them from having babies (Im telling you now sexing rabbits isn't easy)

Are you aware that at 3 months old a doe can become pregnant but it is VERY dangerous to her and the babies?? She isn't matured yet! Her body can't handle the strains of pregnancy and birth as well. The babies may not get all the proper nutrients. It's like a 13 year old human girl having a baby. Not very smart, is it.

Seperate your rabbits and give them to someone responsible.

Don't take offence at me for ranting at you, but you have put the lives of animals at risk without even studying about it, and you expect people to NOT get mad?

EDIT: Them being the same age worries me, as well. If they are both 3 months old and you have them, it sounds to me like they are siblings from the same litter. Inbreeding is a horrible practice unless done by someone with EXTENSIVE knowledge of genetics, and should NEVER be attempted.

  6. Do you even know what s*x your rabbits are? Putting two bucks together will result in a fight and obviously they can't have babies, neither can two does put together. Doesn't sound like they're even old enough to breed. If you really have your rabbits' best of interest in mind, be a responsible owner and put some research into what is proper care and ownership.
