  1. yep right tennis ball don't jump much they bounce too much. The next time u go buy tennis balls buy those which have a good solid hard bounce not a soft wobbly weak bounce in ur words such tennis balls just jump a lot. jumping balls are weak and have absolute defect. Both ur tennis balls jump and thus they are defective.

  2. depends where u buy them if u bought them at dollar tree dude they're fake u gotta get them at modell's and probably they are defective

  3. yeah they're defective if they don't bounce like it used to on courts.

next time ya buy tennis balls, be sure to buy branded ones like Dunlop, Wilson, Head, Slazenger that are in cans.

    a can contains 3 balls at $5 to $7

Don't buy un labelled practice balls coz' they're not suitable for match plays & won't last long specially if you're a hard hitter like Roddick & Rafa.

  4. Best tennis balls I have ever purchases have been us open wilson.  They were the official ball. It also depends on the surface of the court you are playing on.  Numbers dont mean anything.  Just to decipher yours from someone else.  Extra duty felt is made for hard courts, which wear away the felt quickly. Regular felt is better on clay courts, which wear the felt less but tend to fluff it up. Extra duty felt gets too fluffy on clay courts. Regular felt gets too worn on hard courts.

  5. What kind are they? Are they Penn or Wilson? If they aren't, then you may have purchased practice balls(which are cheap). They do not bounce as well as normal tennis balls.

  6. Firstly, tennis ball does not jump but it bounce. Secondly, there are types of balls with different pressure depending on the surface of the court you intend to play. There are 3 types of court i.e. hard, grass and clay.

I guess there is nothing wrong with your tennis balls. Your balls are low pressured. They are made to suit one of the abovementioned courts.

On another note, lower pressure balls are also used for training purposes.
