I have uniden's cordless phone TRU 9485, 5.8 Ghz.?

Question

I bought this phone just a month ago and yesterday suddenly I was not able to hear any incoming calls. Then I made a call from my personal phone and try to talk to my wife..she cant even hear my voice and neither I. I dont know what's the problem. It should nt be a battery problem on the handset bcoz we tried on the base also. Did anybody knows about this. Is there any settings that I messed up or my phone is gone. I called the customer service but nobody is picking up the phone. Pls help if anybody knows anything about this problem. Thanks

If you are still keeping your old corded phone, have it connected to the line to make sure there's no problem with your wall jack. You should be able to communicate with the corded phone

Don't try to reset. You may not be able to register the handset and base back. Just remove the hadset battery.Unplug the base adaptor. If the base has a backup battery, remove it too. Wait for a couple of hours then install power and batteries again.. Good luck.

try this....on the main-base....un-register the handset ( extension)...then register the phone (extension) again!!!

also re-circle the power-supply on the main-base....

If it is defective, I would try getting the 6.0 GHZ DECT from them, its fantastic. Much better than anything else I've ever used. You can get the base plus four extra phones at Costco for a little over a hundred bucks.
