  1. What you're planning to do can be compared to you giving away your medication to your friends, thinking you're the doctor and prescribing for them.

Even though your friend may see clear with them, there is no guarantee that they have the same condition as you, unless the optometrist checks them out and confirming it.

    So it's a no no.

  2. From what I understand...the contacts you have are made to fit your eyes. There's no telling whether or not the curvation of her eye will be the same as yours.

  3. if you and your friend both wear EXACTLY the same contacts and have EXACTLY the same prescription and EXACTLY the same measurements then go for it. if not then do not try it! you can check all these on the side of the box but make sure they are exactly the same and not just similar!

  4. They probably do not have the exact same prescription it may just be similar.  That is not even the issue really... they needed to be fit by an eye doctor.  Before someone is fit with lenses they need to have an examination to make sure their eyes are healthy enough and they need to take measurements for size etc... the doctor will put a trial lenses on and examine the fit.  This is really important because a lens that does not fit properly can cause some serious damage to a persons eyes.  You may think you are doing them a favor, but you are not because they could damage their eyes.  If they want contacts they need to see an eye doctor for a proper fitting and to maintain their annual check ups.

  5. Never give them to someone else, they might be able to see clearly out of your glasses, but they might need a different prescription than you which if they used urs, then their eyes could get worse.

They should go to the optometrist.
