  1. As an Animal Rescue Centre, we have to be honest and admit that one of the most common animals handed in to us are 'excess' rabbits.

We appreciate that there are enthusiasts who breed various types of 'show rabbits'. We quite understand the fact that people wish to breed 'pedigree' types.

However, we still have rabbits turn up here complete with their 'pedigree' metal rings, who are no longer wanted, or cared for.

The first thing we do is cut off the rings! We refuse to recognise the difference between a 'good' rabbit and a 'mutt' :)

The vast majority of rabbits which come into the centre, are found good, loving homes.

There is no valid reason why someone should 'buy' a rabbit, unless they are interested in 'breeding responsibly'!

We would advise anyone who wanted a rabbit to visit their local Rescue Centre. For instance, we will try our best to match up a person to a particular rabbit :)

We are not a pet shop! We do not have to 'get rid of our stock' !

Our main interest is to provide the rabbit with a good home! not provide the buyer with a rabbit!

  2. Angie's right - you would be much better off using a more local advertising service like newsagents windows or supermarket small ads boards; or especially a pet shop window.  If you have a local free newspaper with a reasonable price classified ads section, you could try that.

  3. Gum tree, news paper add or post posters in asda, tesco and sainsburies.

  4. Try to post posters ...and put it in the newspapers.
