I have very pale skin. When I say pale, I mean milk white. I can't find a really good foundation. Help?

I am a natural redhead, so I have extremely white skin.

I have moderate acne right now, and I really need a good makeup.

I have tried several different makeups but I could never find one that didn't give my skin blotches of orange.

Any other pale redheads out there that could suggest anything?

Nicole Kidman, who also has very light skin, uses Shiseido cream foundation in Very Light Ivory ($32). It's a slight bit more then your budget, but it's a lovely makeup!

I'm not a redhead (brunette, currently dyed purple!), but I also have very fair skin. If you can get hold of it, Urban Decay's foundation in Apparition is amazing - lovely creamy consistency, and good coverage without feeling too heavy on your skin. I think that it may have been either discontinued or the formulation has changed. I'm currently using Covergirl foundation in Ivory. It's oil free and non-comedogenic, so it shouldn't block your pores and make your skin any worse.

Another, slightly more expensive alternative is mineral foundation. Most mineral makeup websites will offer sample sizes to try out colours. It's a UK based company, but www.lilylolo.co.uk is very good. Their foundation in Porcelain is perfect for fair skin.

If acne's a problem, you may want to try a green concealer. Rimmel has one in a brush pen (like the Touche Eclat) and it goes on smoothly and evenly. Green helps take out the redness of the blemishes and even your skintone, and then you can put foundation on top. Most good makeup brands will have a green concealer, though, so I'm sure you'd be able to find one that works and you can afford!

Mary Kay makes mineral powder foundation that is very easy to apply, not messy and it comes in several different shades. I think yours would be Ivory.

Plus, you need something to help your pores stay clear, not clog them up. Even the liquid-to-powder stuff won't be as good as mineral powder.

neutrogena has great products for acne, including cosmetics; foundation and concealer.

if you are going for a foundation stay away from liquids and creams. people with acne, need to stick with loose powder and mineral foundations. Just because those are fairly light and dont clog pours. but with a concealer, try to look for one with some acne medication in it. Neutrogena has a good one.

Putting makeup on acne makes it worse because it doesn't breathe so it will still be there. Just like poison ivy, it's the same deal.

I'm a redhead too, and I use Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat.

It's supposed to be for under your eyes, but it covers acne too.

It's the only one I've ever used that hasn't made me look orange !
