I have very sensitve skin on my legs to chlorinated water, but I miss swimming. A friend suggested a wetsuit.?

  1. not a good idea wet suits tend to be rough on sensitive skin. you can try rubbing petroleum jelly on your legs that helps some times


  2. Try using lotion before you go swimming... it will coat the skin and help keep the chlorine out.

    Or try showering after swimming or when/ if your skin gets red and itchy

  3. A wetsuit wouldn't be fun, but I wonder if those new full length racing suits would help. I don't anything about them first hand. They're a bit pricey, but may get you back in the water again. You can check them out at: http://www.swimandtri.com

    Also, check in your area and see if there are any salt water pools. That may not be as abrasive as chlorine and they're becoming more popular these days.
