I have very thinnning hair, what i wanna know is does this effect wether i can get highlights or not?

its just ill be very embarassed if i make an appointment and the hairdresser says I dont have enough hair!

Colouring your hair weaken it ... but without seeing your hair then i cant tell ... a hair dresser wont laugh ... what to do is make an appointment for a consultation and they will be able to advise you on what would suit your hair best .... its their job to look after your hair rememeber!! J, I don't think it will make any difference; in fact, I think getting highlights will actually make your hair look thicker.   Any chemical treatment is going to poof up your hair a bit, since it roughs up the hair's cuticle.

Make that appointment  :)
