  1. simply change the start up order of the programs you have set to run at start up...

easy solution to a simple question...

  2. If that is the free security program that Virgin gives away to its subscribers, then get another one, PC Guard is useless.

I recommend Kaspersky or Zone Alarm. I have heard good things about Norton 360 as well. NOT Norton 2008 tho.

  3. This is usual have exactly the same problem. I've asked about this and was told it depends on programmes how long they take to load and antivirus is one of the last programmes that does load. Sound silly I think so to. Just don't open your internet browser until you're sure the antivirus is working

  4. Just wait till everything is fully loaded before going on the Internet. I always do and have never encountered any problem!

  5. Yup just don't do anything internet related before your antivirus loads. Disable any IMs that boot on startup so you would be fully protected. And install Spyware Doctor as well; you can schedule a start up scan and any infection would be removed. For attacks, enable your Windows Firewall as well; it loads like the first thing working in background. I have both Mcafee Firewall and Windows Firewall services running with Mcafee being the primary one and Windows Firewall acts when the other is inactive. You can activate the service in Device Managers in Services & Apps.

  6. Its caused by the Windows Security Center loading before the antivirus or firewall has fully loaded which then gives you a warning about whichever being turned off - it happens on a lot of machines, its a question i often get asked about.

Its also nothing to worry about =]
