I have vista and i am having issues playing games?

and i would like to play my civilization IV game? it apparently has compatibility issues with vista like every other computer game out there. any suggestions are there any programs i can download that would allow me to play? (getting a new computer is not possible at this moment)

There might be new drivers or patches to help you.  Also, you can try something else.  I have not used vista, but in Windows XP, you can right click on the shortcut for your game.  Go to properties and click the last tab called 'compatibility'.  There you will see a choice for which operating system you wish for it to be compatible with--for you probably XP.  I did that for my Majesty Game and it works fine.

Civilization has no problem with vista I have had it on my vista pc since vista was released.

Must be an issue with pc
