Question:

I have what feels like a sharp edge on my tooth. I just went to the dentist and he didn't seem to think

anything was wrong. Is it most likely just a rough edge or pit, since he didn't say anything about it? if it was the start of a cavity or something, he probably would have said something about it, right?

  1. did you just get braces off?  i had braces for about 3 years and when i got them off, i had decalcified areas and my dentist acts like it's no big deal.  i imagine the sharp edges on your teeth with smooth soon.

  3. yup he would tell u if der was a cavity... i think u shud go 2 an orthodontist because dentist dunt know stuff bout shapes of teeth that much.. its probably just ur fangs though..but yeah consult an orthodontist

  4. absolutely, they make good money off of any little filling they can fix. It will probably smooth itself out by eating hard foods on that side. If it continues to bother you, they can always file it down.

  5. Go back to your detist and ask if he could file it down to be smooth if it is bothersome they can do this without damaging the tooth  

  6. seek an opinion from another dentist.
