I have what looks like a weird bruise on my belly. . .?

I'm almost 37 weeks pregnant. About a week ago, I noticed a vein of mine near my belly button. It was looking like a varicose vein. Now it looks as if that vein has exploded. It looks like a large bruise (or even more like a hickey, my hubby says). It doesn't hurt, but it looks awful. Has anyone seen this happen before?

i have it too right under my belly button and had it for awhile now, it looks like a blue bruise or hickey like you explained but mine isnt very large but its there. No idea what it could be its not a vein explode because that would look different. iam 32weeks.

Im thinking it has something to do with the line the line that goes down but i dont see how when the line in thin and this looks like a little cirlelar bruise?!

If its underneath your bellybutton, its your lifeline!  Congrats!  Its like a big purple mark from your bellybutton to your vag.....it's just a sign of pregnancy and will go away a few weeks after birth.
