I have white mold all over sections of my grass what could it be?

A section of grass in my backyard has a white blotchy color all over it. i thought i was paint from the fence but we have cut it many times and it still has this white blotchy stuff. what could it be and how to treat it.

Mildew, maybe powdery mildew.  If your weather has been humid, the lawn isn't getting enough sun or air circulation and you have an overabundance or too little nitrogen........this could be it.  

Treating mildew is difficult as most fungicides protect the plant from infection, not cure the problem.  If you think it's weather related, can you prune some plant material to open up the yard?

try watering your grass..

it might just be dry patches of grass from the sun...

or that might be were the grass grows week....

Allow more time for the grass to dry out after watering it.  Water in the morning so the grass has all day to dry.  Stop watering at night.
