I have white on my petunia leaves. The plant is starting to wilt. Is it fungus or insect?

  1. well petunias require a lot of water, it could also be white flies, without seeing it it is hard to know. if you live in a hot area petunias dont last long in those hot summer days, wash the plant in really cold water, then hold it upside down, and then rinse it again, shake well put it in a shady area and let it dry , make sure you always keep petunias watered well, they dont like heat, and another thing you can do is whack them back to 3inches in height, trust me if they are taken care of they will pop back to life in a few days, i always whack my petunias down to the soil in mid summer cause the always end up half dead and wilted if i do, they will recoop. you can even keep them in the garage in there pots and put them back out next spring, if the plant is really in distress and appears dead, then throw it away and buy another or you can grow them from seed, they are cheap and can always just buy another plant also.

  3. Sounds like a fungus there is a product called 3 in 1 fungicide that will kill fungus bugs and weeds try using that
