  1. the only thing you can do is to buy a windows xp software CD

and download that onto your com, just follow the instructions and it should take about an hour

  2. Why would you want XP, it is such a buggy, glitchy, freezing, annoying piece of **** Operating System. Anyway, I'll answer your question anyway, you need to back up all your data onto an external Hard Drive (music, Photos, Documents, Movies [you'll need to reinstall, if not re-buy some games]). Then format the disk, then insert the disk, restart the computer and install XP.

-----YOU NEED TO FORMAT THE HARD DRIVE WITH XP ON IT, NOT THE CD DRIVE OR THE ONE WHERE YOU BACKED ALL YOUR DATA UP ONTO IT-----

  3. You need to buy XP OS and then just reformat the Vista and reinstall it with XP. Makes sure you have relevant drivers for XP

  4. Back up your data to a cd if it's less than 700 mb, or try DVD if it is bigger.. And then you can downgrade to windows xp , don't format everything, just put your cd and then run setup from your windows vista.. that can help you solving the problem.. Microsoft windows try not to develop Windows XP, but the support will last only untill the end of 2009, and then you can Windows 7 (next generation of the OS from Microsoft), because Windows Vista generates many errors , especially in the HCL (hardware compatibility list). Hope can help you ..

You still can make your xp like vista (if you only had windows xp instead of Vista) with Vista transformation pack

  5. Your situation is very common.  I keep telling idiots who have XP not to upgrade their computers to Vista, but nobody listens. You can almost track them.

I returned three Vista computer because Vista with SP1 was so terrible.  Computers from Dell, for the most part can upgrade XP Pro From Vista.  For a small charge, Dell will do it for you on new computers

I have listed a link in how to upgrade Vista to XP.  Follow instructions very carefully.  Do not do it until you have all the drivers.  For some that are not experienced, it could take as long as 3 days finding those guys. Now there are some sites that specialize in helping you get those XP drivers.  Right now in my view, Vista gives end users no reason to upgrade.  Using it just doesn't give your hardware the biggest bang for your bucks and the drivers for Vista, regardless of what MS says are still problematic and the Vista platforms for Video & sound are still not developed.

I hope this helps, I know it will do it.
