  1. if you've never changed it in the router then it may be on the bottom of the router, if not and you have no idea what to do, call your ISP

  2. The WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) code is just the code used to stop people from connecting to your wireless network without your permission.

You can set it for yourself by connecting to your wireless router (usually via a web based interface) and locating the relevant setting.

Once you have set the code on the router end, you will need to enter the same code on any computer that you connect to that wireless LAN (it should prompt you for the password when you try to connect).

    Hope this helps.

EDIT - It just occurred to me that perhaps you can't connect to the router to set the WEP password so I will explain that too.

    You have 2 options:

    1) Connect to the router using a wired connection

    2) Connect wirelessly using the default WEP password. You should be able to find this in the user manual.

Also, don't forget to make sure that you change the login password on the browser's web interface. If you've left it as the default it will be easy for someone to connect to it and alter the WEP password thus allowing them access and denying you access to your own WLAN.
