  1. I dont think so

  2. Your dentist will check the condition of your teeth, particularly for debris build up and staining .... sometimes these can hide the beginning of a cavity - caught in time the cavity can be filled and future problems with infection and loss of teeth can be avoided..... just make sure you clean your teeth regularly - twice a day is sufficient, and make sure you use fluoride toothpaste - Arm & Hammer enamel restore toothpaste is very good, as is Sensodyne.....

    :)

  3. If you went last week, why would you be going back again unless you need more work? Or did you make the appointment without the dentist telling you you should?  Maybe you need further work, or they want to clean your teeth or something like that.  Sometimes teeth can be stained.  I am surprised the dentist didn't tell you more clearly what was going on.  Good luck.  If you don't need your mouth numbed, I doubt you would get a shot from the dentist.  They should have some gel to put on your gum first.  Unless your gum is sore, it is possible for it not to hurt too much.  If you are phobic, maybe you could try a dentist that advertises to cater for people afraid of the dentist, or ask around for good reviews.  Seem to me that some dentists are more gentle than others, but maybe it has to do with where it is in your mouth and how much of a hurry they are in.  Good luck.

  4. The black on your tooth could be staining, but it could also be the start of decay, which DOES mean it would need to be drilled away. Please visit your dentist who will be able to tell straight away, and may take x-rays to be sure. If you are nervous, please TELL the dental staff who should make you feel comfortable as they are trained to deal with nervous patients.

  5. If you don't have any big visible cavity, then for sure it will take less then two hours this time:)

leave to your dentist, he may just do general check up, maybe some x-rays pictures if require. no worries! and your little black dot maybe just stain that can be easily removed (without any injection). or if there is something, then i think any way better to prevent as soon as possible, then end up spending two hours on the dental chair again.

    You will be fine!
