I haven't filed my FAFSA yet! Can I file it and still be eligible for aid?

  1. It depends on your college.  Most colleges work on a rolling financial aid model, so the sooner you get it in the better. You may not get as much aid as you would have if you'd applied earlier, but you can still get something so apply as soon as possible:

    Just remember that schools have specific deadlines as well. I would always recommend turning your FAFSA in before March. This gives you time to submit your taxes and is before most deadlines end.

  3. Yes, you can still file and be eligible for aid.  Just be sure to apply as soon as possible even though your deadline is May 1st.  I suggest you apply online for FAFSA....it is faster and they receive it in 3 days (the most).  Your college/university will most likely receive it a couple of days after that.  Don't worry you still have plenty of time just do it soon (like this week).  Good luck!
