Question:

I haven't run for about 3 months since track season...?

...am I completely out of shape? If I ran a 2:25 in the 800 and haven't run for 3 months, what would my time be now?

  1. You are not out of shape but do 400m per day so that you pace yourself instead of jumping into the 800m staight away and then soon your time will speed up.


  2. no not COMPLETELY out of shape, but out of shape nonetheless. only by a little though. you may have a few seconds added to your time but you can shave off those once you get back into the habbit of running. my guess is arround 2:30-2:40.

  3. Yeah you'd be out of shape, just start back into it as soon as you can to get back to those times :]

  4. You won't have become so out of shape that you're going to lose everything you did last year, but you will have lost a lot.  I don't know how you train, what your ability is naturally, so i can't say where you'd be now.  However, by a very general guess, i'd say you're probably running what you ran at the beginning of spring track, or near the end of winter.
