  1. No.  Where you live does not determine filing status.


  2. Not unless you have a qualifying dependent living with you (if a parent is your dependent, they don't have to live with you).  Head of household requires a closely related dependent, not just yourself.

    If for example you had a dependent child living with you, you could file as head of household.

  3. No, not unless you are supporting a qualifying person (child, parent, niece, nephew).

    Just living on your own does not qualify you for Head of Household.
