  1. Okay, a couple of quick questions for you....

    First, are you working "under the table"? If you're not paying taxes on what you're supposed to be earning, then keep in mind that you'll be held liable for the tax bill on whatever it is you're paid, whenever that happens.

    Second, have you been paid by this employer in the past? If so, then you've got pretty good grounds as far as collecting the past-due payment.

    Go to the state's web site for whichever one you live in (usually "www.(two letter abbreviation for your state).gov" - in my case, that would be www.mi.gov - and look up the proper office for either labor relations or whatever title they've given the office that handles worker's complaints and issues.

    By contacting these folks, they can begin looking into the matter for you and will hopefully be able to resolve this issue.
