  1. why not look on amazon or wikipedia to see what it's about, not very difficul

  2. I think that it is about a woman who falls in love with a vampire. My niece is reading it.

  3. you'll prob. get many people telling you that its a vampire book but thats not just what its about

its mostly the forbiden love between two people and how they overcome it

    its a really good book

    and by stephenie meyer

  4. It's about the joy of celibacy!~

    Enjoy kiddos.

  5. Twilight is a teen romance series by Stephenie Meyer.  The books in order are: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn.

Bella Swan moves to a small, rainy town in Washington to live with her dad so her mom can travel with her fiance.  Bella is a pretty, if unusually clumsy, high school girl who always puts others before herself.  On her first day of school, she sees the mysterious Edward Cullen, who is both beautiful beyond belief and a vampire.  The series focuses primarily on their love and the obstacles they overcome to stay together.

And in the second book you meet Jacob Black, who is the best character in the series by far. ^^

Twilight is poorly written.  You'll hear it all over the place (shortly followed by a Twilighter's comment that it's the best series ever and SMeyer is the greatest writer to have ever lived), and it's completely true (the insult, not the praise).  The prose is sloppy, repetative, and juvenile.  There's barely a plot to speak of; even the romance barely qualifies as plot.  The characters are flat and unimaginative (with the exception of Jake, lol), and Meyer seems to have decided making them unimaginably pretty will somehow make up for that.  But it's a quick, easy, and cheesy read.  A lot of people love it, mayhap you will too.

  6. Well that would give it away!

It's about a vampire and a human who fall in love, and have a lot of obstacles in their way. You should read it it's really simple - I breezed through it but the writing is of a high standard and really fun read! Also the romance between Bella and Edward is awesome!!!

    Enjoy :)

The author is Stephanie Meyer you should check out her website

  7. It is NOT better than Harry Potter! If you've never read a classic, enjoy sappy romances with little or no point whatsoever and Mary-Sue characters, by all means, read it.

But if you actually *have* some self-respect, I wouldn't go near it with a ten foot pole.

  8. Not better than Harry, but it's a good book on its own.  The author is Stephenie Meyer (note spelling).

"Twilight" is about 17-year-old Bella (Isabella) Swan, who comes to live with her father in a small town in Washington state after her mother has remarried in Arizona.  After moving to Forks, Washington, Bella starts her junior year of high school as the "new kid" in a very small town.  She notices another guy who seems to be equally out of place -- Edward Cullen.  Edward appears to initially despise her, but suddenly, strange things start to happen -- he rescues her from an almost certain fatal car accident, he steps in unexpectedly when it looks like she's going to be gang-raped on a shopping trip to The Big City, and suddenly, she finds herself intrigued by him and his supernaturally good looks.  A childhood friend, Jake, warns her against Edward and his family, but that does not deter Bella -- she falls in love with Edward, and discovers that he is -- voila! -- actually a 107 year old vampire, permanently 17 forever, and his "family" are all vampires, too, who have bonded together to form a "family" because they are "vegetarian vampires" who have sworn off human blood. They enter into a tentative relationship -- Edward is smitten, too, but is very aware of his powers and his limitations when it comes to relationships with warmblooded humans.  Conflict occurs when the Cullen family encounters some independent vampires who decide that Bella would make a tasty snack.  Bella and the Cullens devise a plan to get her out of harm's way, but it backfires, and Bella ends up facing a rabid vampire, and being rescued by Edward and his family.

  9. gimme an S! S! Gimme an E! E! Gimme a R! R! Gimme a C! C! Gimme a H! H! Gimme a B! B! Gimme a A! A! Gimme another R! R!  What's that spell?  SEARCH BAR!  YAY!!!

Too many people ask this question, and I spend way too much time trying to outline how bad the book is.  Just Wikipedia Twilight if you want to know what it's about.  It's not that hard.  OR use that lovely fluorescent search bar up there, and you can ACTUALLY find what people think without having to bother us all over again.  Amazing, right?

It's not better than Harry Potter at all, it's not even close.

It's by Stephenie Meyer, whose characters apparently talk to her and tell her what they want happening, and who thinks she is Bella, the main character.

Ahh, here come the thumbs down.  Okay, okay.

It's about a girl named Isabella Swan (Beautiful Swan...get the ugly ducking allusion?) who for some reason demands everyone call her Bella.  She moves to Forks, Washington after her mother gets remarried to a minor-league baseball player.  She arrives in Forks and lives with her Dad Charlie, who is a policeman.  She goes to school ("building three was very easy to find.  it has a three on it."), and suffers because she is the new kid and everybody wants to be her friend.  She was ugly in Arizona, where she used to live, but apparently in Forks she is beautiful (get the ugly ducking connection now?) In her biology class, she meets a boy who appears to despise her, named Edward Cullen.  She is completely fascinated by him and falls in love with him.  He stalks her and watches her at night while she sleeps without her knowing. Anyway, they finally admit that they love each other, and Bella finds out that Edward is a vampire (since then, she has shown no ability whatsoever to logically come to conclusions).  Bella and Edward go through the lovey-dovey phase, which takes up about two hundred pages.  Then some other vampires invade Edward and his family's territory, and want to eat Bella.  Edward will not allow this, and they fight.  Edward wins (because if he didn't, there would be no opportunity for a sequel).  Basically, lots of teenage girls who haven't read much quality literature like it.  I do not.  You decide.

  10. ok although many people will want to spoil this i will not

    heres my summary...

Its about a girl named Isabella Swan but she goes by Bella Swan.Bella moves in temporarily with her dad who lives in Forks, the most rainy place in North America. She ends up falling love with this boy (Edward Cullen) but something tells her hes not enteriely human....
