line between "fear-mongering" and providing national security? Bill Clinton obviously didn't do enough after the first WTC bombing in 1993 seeing as how the USS Cole was attacked later in his administration and the 9/11 hijackers were training for their mission during his second term as well. So let's hear it, where do YOU draw the line between the two?

By the way this is a serious question, baseless claims and wild accusations will just be laughed at.

  1. The democrats use this accusation against the Republicans and conservatives because it plays to the leftist anti-American crowd they embrace. The democrats are all for 'world government', hence their constant complaint of 'we aren't liked'  while the facts show that most people like America and many wish to live here. The UN is a failed organization but the democrats want to hand over our sovereignty to them to appease the left and dictator nations.

  2. Yes dems. get all caught up in their "We're entitled to everyone else's money" rhetoric they forget that one of the sole duties as president is to protect America from enemies domestic and abroad.

  3. You do real things to protect against terrorism and not create more of them by attacking a country that had nothing to do with attacking us.  We should strengthen our borders and go after real terrorist like the Taliban in Afghanistan.  We should better protect our ports.  We should build better relations with other countries around the world.  We should look for injustice in the world and stand up to it.

  4. Both sides "fear monger" to an extend. The Right says that if we don't go after those who threaten us, we'll be attacked. The Left says that if we do go after them, and if we disagree with the UN, the world will hate us, and that will cause a loss off jobs, ect...

Between the 2, I agree with the Right.

  5. IMO, both sides "fear-mongers."

I don't think there is a line between fear-mongering and providing national security, it's apples and oranges. Fear-mongering is an impression, providing national security is an action. It's hard to associate them on a spectrum.

  6. Your comparison is completely illogical.

Fear mongering is for example when a president states that a country has nuclear arms and intends to use them against Americans when the country clearly does not have nuclear capabilities in order to obtain congressional permission for a war.

Providing for national security is hiring and training military personal building aircraft and bombs and maintaining intelligence on potentional threats. The two are not related in any way.
