For the last couple of weeks, I picked up my phone to call someone, and I can hear my neighbor's phone conversation. I am not sure if they have a cell phone or home phone, but I am on a landline when I hear them. They don't seem to hear me. I was wondering what would cause this. It usually happens during the day, and I don't seem to hear them at night. When it happens, I can actually hear both my neighbor and whoever they are on the phone with. This seems strange to me.

  1. Call your telephone provider.  They will fix the problem.   You have a party line you didn't want.

  2. thats cool i wish i could i could hear what my neibors conversations.....wait no nevermind they speak spanish so i wouldn know what there saying anyway

  3. You have to Call you Phone Company Provider so they will FIX the error on your Phone. Shouldn't be that way.

Long time ago it does like that home phone year 1987, fighting. morning .

some of the cellphone too it does like that you can hear someone to the other line fighting someone round afternoon.

That is not fun to hear your neighbor they might think you spy them.

Jut call your Phone Provider they will fix that for you.

    Good Luck.

  4. do you hear it after you hit the talk button or before?

  5. The phenomena you are experiencing is known as "Cross Talk".  You are sharing common cabling with your neighbours.  Your telephone signals are using "wire pairs" in a cable that is also carrying your neighbours wire pairs.  Because the wires, within the cable, are very very close together, the electromagnetic fields caused by currents flowing in one wire pair is inducing currents in an adjacent wire pair...... this is known as Cross-Talk.

That was more of a problem in times past.  When it occurs now days, it usually means there is a cabling or telco equipment problem.  You need to report the problem to your telco repair dept. and have them test the lines and track down the problem.

  6. Dude that is way cool maybe your lines got crossed it seems like a wire tap  I guess you should call yoour phone company
