I hear sound from my head phones and my PC at the same time. How do I just hear sound just from my headphones?

I just want to hear sound from my headphones, but I hear sound from my computer as well. I have tried adgusting the settings but there are no options for head phones.

i think maybe go to settings and fix it that way :( sorry i am not a real tech person but that's where i find most of the volume stuff so give it a try!

you have not stated which operating system you are using windows Linus or Mac

for Windows XP just follow the  procedure as follows:

open control panel >sound and audio devices>audio tab>sound playback

click volume you will find Master Volume window will open and here you can adjust volume with wave or master volume control of your earphone level
