  1. He's not saying we shouldn't drink water.  He's saying your skin is going to get water from the food you eat.  It was in the context of people drinking a lot of water in order to look youthful.  He's saying drinking a ton of water isn't going to impact the level of oil your skin has, how much moisture it has, or how much elasticity it has.

But he also points that drinking water has benefits to the body, just not in clearing up acne or getting rid of sagging skin.

  2. u do need to drink a lot of water to grow and stay healthy also it does effect ur skin. if u drink too much your skin will be oily. if u dont drink enough u will get tons of zits. but if u drink just enough, (6 to 11 glasses a day) ur skin will be just fine.

  3. If you are going to ask a question, at least try to phrase it intelligently. Your question makes no sense at all.

  4. What website did this Dr Oz person buy his degree from? LOL

Water is necessary to flush out toxins from the body, and the skin is the largest elimination organ in the body, thus it has very much a huge effect on the skin to get enough water.

You wash your body on the outside with water. It's a bit the same kind of thing. If you didn't wash on the outside, just like the inside, you have all this buildup of toxins.

Unless he -whoever HE is, was referring to not drinking ten gallons of water all at once, which would certainly harm you, if not kill you.

  5. I heard that too and was dumbfounded to hear it. I have ALWAYS heard that drinking alot of water helps you lose weight and is good for replenishing the skin.

  6. dr.oz is related to the great and powerful oz

  7. They finally ran some studies and found that unless somebody is dehydrated, they're getting enough fluids. Eight glasses a day is a myth.

A lot of people nowadays drink more water than they need to. It is fashionable to carry around a water bottle and drink from it at all time. However, it is not necessary to drink except when you are thirsty, unless you're an extreme athlete in training.

The idea that drinking water has a positive effect on your skin is something that somebody dreamed up because it sounded like a good idea, but they never tested it. Turns out it's wrong, which is what happens when you come up with ideas and promote them, but don't bother to check to see if they are correct.
