I heard Russia is bombing Georgia why isn't the US protecting their own state?

or is the US leaving that up to the National guard?

  1. I happen to live in the state of Georgia, and haven't seen any Russians yet. That's because the Russians are in the country of Georgia, which was formerly a part of the USSR.  


  2. The country of Georgia, a now separate entity, that used to be part of the USSR.  The state of Georgia is a whole different place.
