I heard a noise in my backyard last night what could it be?

Last night I was watching tv in my room trying to get to sleep, and I heard a noise in my backyard that scared the !@#$ out of me. It sounded like someone screaming and then vomiting and then like a sort of like a whistle of something falling. I ran downstairs and looked all around outside for what it could be and there was nothing there. I went upstairs and started watching the Olympics and 17 minutes later it happened the exact same way again and I called the cops. They showed up and said everything was clear, and they couldn't find anything. It sounded like it came from right next to me. I stayed up all night listening for it and it happened again at 2:12 am. WHAT IS IT?

And no my house is not haunted because I tore down the old one built this one and nothing has ever happened in it.

Sorry, I drank too much and every time I woke up in your bushes I had to vomit. Also thanks for the corn flakes I will clean up and go before you get home.

It sounds to me like you're infested with what we call "17-minute screamers".

These little buggers make their home easily in hedgerows and shrubbery, and are very hard to spot as they hardly leave a trail..try to find some small rabbit-like droppings somewhere, these rodents aren't discreet with their defecations.

If you think you have them, then call a pest-exterminator and let them know about your situation.."17-minute screamers" are well known to most professionals in this field.

It could be that someone drank too much alcohol and was throwing up.  I've had that happen in our backyard before. I have no idea what the whistle sound was though.  Do you live in a rough neighborhood?
