  1. its the music industry who are sending the letters out virgin are just the first isp to back them. the others will follow.so switching isps is A costly if you are in contract and B pointless.the letters are only a warning but eventually they will block file sharers.

  3. It means that some of their customers (not websites) are sharing files, which is illegal, so they issued a warning to them.

    It's a knee-jerk reaction, and will only cause them to lose customers.

  4. To stop the illegal sharing of music files etc, and about time too.

  5. They are sending the letters to try and stop people going on filesharing websites and downloading illegal music and films. I think it's a stupid thing to do!! They need to target the websites, not the people that use them!!
