  1. Nuclear physics is the field of physics that studies the building blocks and interactions of atomic nuclei.

It must not be confused with atomic physics, that studies the combined system of the nucleus and its arrangement of electrons, even if both terms are sometimes used synonymously in standard English.

Particle physics is a field that has evolved out of Nuclear physics and for this reason has been included under the same term in earlier times.

Nuclear power and nuclear bombs are the most commonly known applications of nuclear physics, but the research field is also the basis for a far wider range of less common applications, like e.g. in the medical sector (nuclear medicine, magnetic resonance imaging), in materials engineering (ion implantation) or archaeology (radiocarbon dating).

However, hydrogen is an explosive gas... Most probably its is false information.

  2. The nuclear energy that you are thinking of is called fission.  They take heavy atoms, such as Plutonium, and break them down, releasing energy.

Another version of nuclear energy exists called fusion.  They take light atoms, such as Hydrogen, and ram them into each other, releasing energy.  I think this is what you are talking about, but it might be awhile before we get fusion reactors up and running.

On the other hand, you might be thinking of hydrogen and oxygen combining to form water.  That also releases energy, but not nearly as much as nuclear fusion.

  3. yea cuz it got isotopes..

  4. Hydrogen is nuclear energy.
