Yes, an American man was killed, the woman and the English speaking tour guide were injured and the attacker then committed suicide by jumping from the second floor.

China has not done enough to protect tourist from their own people, it is their responsibility, they should give the Olympics to Taiwan.

But it is highly likely to be an assassination by the Chinese secret police. They are doing this to lower the moral of the American team so their own 'champions' can bring glory to their motherland.

Where are the news reports when tourists are killed in the USA? My friend Jesse is STILL missing from Las Vegas and the police dont even want to hear about it, never mind make an effort to find out what happened and where she is. In fact her mother was denied entrance into the US when Jesse went missing - now THERES a news story.
