  1. My doctor told me to take a 2 or 3 sips of champagne. There is much alcohol in that (about as much if you swallow mouth wash) She said the carbonation plus the little bit of alcohol will help. I did that, It didn't really seem to help for me but my daughter is fine.

  2. personaly I woulnt try the wine, but I've had 5 health babies, heres some tricks i've used. Walking, warm baths and the one that has worked every time, s*x. with three of my kids I was over two weeks over due, me and my hubby went at it a couple of times and sure enough by the evening I would be in full labor. and its fun. walking is so boring.

  3. Don't risk your baby's health! Just one drink could hurt your baby! There are plenty of other things that people believe could induce labor that have no risk of hurting your baby so stick to those.

I've heard of eatting spicy food, taking a walk, having s*x, etc

Talk to your doctor for ideas

  4. No Wine is safe not now ..wait baby will come when he/she is ready

  5. I've never heard that. Even if it WAS true I would rather go overdue than drink it.

  6. yeah dont drink while ur prego

nothing works for incuement ne wayz im 41 weeks and have tried it all even my dr tried to induce me and failed so just be patient

  7. Usually Red wine is used to calm the uterus, so I wouldn't think that it would cause contractions.  Sorry.

  8. i heard that eating a lb. of grapes good do it also!LOl but it didn't work for me!

  9. I have not heard of it starting contractions, exactly. When I was overdue with my firstborn and had been in uncomfortable early labor for two days (irritable uterus) my Dr. said to have a nice dinner with hubby and enjoy a warm relaxing bath after with a glass of red wine. It worked. I relaxed and labor started. If you are not comfortable drinking a glass of wine then don't. Labor will start when it is ready and you don't want to do anything you are uncomfortable with. I highly recommend walking. It can help get things going sometimes and even if it doesn't it will help you sleep better at night!

  10. You shouldn't have any alcohol while you are pregnant or breast-feeding, whoever told you that obviously doesn't realize that.

  11. When I kept having bad bh contractions my ob told me to take a warm bath and have a glass of wine to relax me and calm down my uterus.

So I don't know if that would work.

  12. You can *probably* safely drink a glass of wine at this point in your pregnancy.  However, if you're anything like me, you'll end up feeling guilty and worrying about everything.  I'd steer clear of the wine if you're worried about it before you even drink it.

You're still early, hun.  Trust me, I know your pain.  I'm just about 37 weeks and I'm SO ready for her to come, too.  Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do to guarantee the baby coming when you want.  Even medical inductions don't work if they are trying too soon!

For now, just keep up with trying to get yourself to go into labor doing the safe things (having s*x, walking, spicy foods).  The baby is going to come when the baby is ready, and not sooner.  I hope its not much longer for you, though!

  13. I've heard a little wine in the beginning is okay, I'm not sure about that far along. Lots of walking and even s*x are supposed to help induce labor... I'd try EVERYTHING else before I'd drink wine. But I'm sure a little will be okay... Good luck!

  14. I know some cultures believe that alcohol is safe to drink during pregnancy, but I just don't agree with it.  They don't know how much alcohol causes fetal alcohol syndrome, whether is 20 glases or 1.

I heard that raspberry tea will help induce labour.  Long walks will also help and lots and lots of s*x.  I did all of these when I was due with my daughter, I have no idea if they actually worked or if it was just time.

    Good luck!

  15. I was told that drinking a 1/2 glass of red wine would help ease Braxton Hicks contractions.

But I'm like you, I don't want to do anything to jeopardize the little one.
