A trucker was at my (grocery store) register on Black Friday and it was too busy to ask him for details.

  1. Yes its very true,i burn about 300 gallons a day at 3.57 per gallon....at only 2.8mpg when my gross weight is 164000 lbs. I pull a set of super trains in michigan, the most heaviest truck on mich. roads.

  2. most DIesel Trucks will get between 5 and 8.5 mpg depending on what he is hauling and also his driving habits can determine mpg(miles per gallon) right now , here anyway, Diesel is going for $1.09 per litre. That would be approx $4 per gallon soooo. sooo. that could last alomost 1500miles for one tank of fuel

  3. It's true. In my case, my truck has 2- 150 gallon tanks. Currently in my area fuel is about 3.60 per gallon. I get 9.20 miles per gallon empty and average 6.75 to 7 miles per gallon loaded to 80,000 lbs. This is very good for a semi. I run super single tires on the truck and the trailer which helps a little bit on fuel milage.

  4. Yes it true I have 200 gal fuel tanks on my truck  so it right now costs around  700$ at 3.45 a gallon I get 4.5 miles per gal loaded at 94000 Lbs i get a liitle better emty 6 or little better thats why every thing you buy is more expensive in our stores because it cost lots $$$ to oparate a truck Fuel is just the tip of the ice burg goodnew tires are 400.00$ for one take that by 18 mine has24 tires

  5. The truck I used to drive recently carried 248 gallons of diesel.

Truck was good for 6.8 mpg. So count on almost 1700 miles range. About 2 days driving.

Fuel is running about $2.90 around here. Fill-up is rarely as much as $700 but certainly can be $600.

BTW, truck drivers call each other driver, not trucker.
