  1. Yes.

    And it's also not confused with other radio chatter. (they then usually know that its the airplane talking to them.)

    and, FYI, I've heard her referred to as "bitchin' betty"


  2. yes the voice of a women is better and easier to hear then a guys voice.

  3. Maybe, but the newest USAF GPWS and GCAS systems use a male computer voice.

    I have a female British voice selected as my GPS tomtom voice.

    I'd prefer a southern maid, but there isn't one available...

    "Y'all have to turn around and go back th'other way", that would be nice.

  4. Yes, both due to male psychology and the fact that the majority of the voices on interphone and on the radio are male.  Makes it easy to distinguish.  

    Yes, the female voice is widely known at least in the US as "Bitching Betty"

  5. omg yes, they voices they have now are hopeless... so droney and unresponsive
