  1. It could be but even if it was this is nasty and no one really needs to hear that....

  2. if you didn't have a bathroom nearby and you had to p**p---what would you do?

Anyway---its just cheaper fertilizer. Who cares!?

  3. well true accept for the dirt part

  4. While it is probably not allowed at all, it may in fact be happening.

This is why you should always wash your vegi's and check them at the store. Only bring home the ones that look Good. Don't save money on produce that is kinda wilty.

  5. you need to turn off the t.v.  and apply for a job.

  6. Makes you wonder about last year's spinach and e:coli scare doesn't it?

  7. That is definitely the rumor going around. For the people suggesting it's just fertilizer, no flat out. We are omnivorous and for that reason our fecal matter contains things that make for very toxic fertilizer if consumed (that's why you don't put kitty litter in your compost heap

Exst: The reason why it's no longer allowed is that it is dangerous......unless it were allowed to "mellow" for a long time, it's a big potential waste hazard. That's why you don't see people shitting in their gardens.

  8. Human excrement ("night soil") is used as fertilizer in many parts of the world. I don't know whether this is true in Mexico (aside from the casual p**p in the field you suggest) but in any case crops so fertilized would not be permitted into the US.

  9. A large number of our planets population relieves themselves of waste where it is convenient, not always (sometimes never)where there is a toilet and running water.

As to the dirt theory, I suggest the logical thought of a softer plant material that would not leave small and irritating particles in a delicate tissue area.

Human waste is used as a fertilizer, even in the United States. Many states have no legislation banning it and most support it as a way to recycle since sludge dumping was banned in the oceans as of December 31, 1991. (Sludge is the term for treated human waste). After being processed at the sewage plant, it is either taken to landfills or recycled.

Many fertilizer companies use it in all types of soil compositions to balance the nutrients. Check the labeling. Human waste is listed as 'biosolids' instead of 'sewage'.

  10. Sanitary conditions and requirements are most def. not the same as they are in the United States.  That is why I check to see where the food that I buy was grown.

As to their bathroom habits while working in fields - such wouldn't come as a major shock.

  11. ha ha! you just lost 5 points and i got 2!

  12. Why do only the mexicans?
