She told him, a 6 year old, that he was so sweet she could "just eat him up". Do you think she might be scarring the child for life?

I'd be afraid if I were him.

  1. who ******* cares. It's just an expression: a way to express that she thinks he's adorable

  2. Yes.  You figured it out.  She wasn't giving her child praise and love, she was literally planning to eat him.  You're a freaking genius.

BTW...come up with better fake, joke questions.

  3. I'd be sad if I were you.  It's an expression we all understand get over it and stay away from kids.

  4. what are you talking about?

  5. It's a totally normal and common expression.  You've never heard it before?!  I'm sure she was smiling and speaking in a nice voice when she said it, not snarling and baring her teeth!  Why would he be afraid of his mother?!

I dont think he should be scared, unless hes reading a lot of hansel and grettel. hahah

  14. I think she is totally normal. Why do you think this is so hideous? I wonder what types endearing terms you use for your kids?  My kids and their friends are everything from Honey, Sweet Heart, Sweet pea, My Love, Babe, Baby etc.

They are 18, 15 and 11....Guess they should be scared of me, too.  We HUG alot too...oh, my.

  15. A lot of older women say this. Mostly I hear it from women over 40 (I know 40 isn't old, but to these young 20-somethings).

  16. U scare ME......

  17. You're scared because you have no sense of humor.  Most 6 year old kids do have a sense of humor, though, so I wouldn't worry about the child.

  18. No it is a phrase of endearment to her child. Lots of people say this to their children and grandchildren, etc.
