I heard that Arco and Costco gas burns fuel faster than other gas stations. How many mpg's are lost to this?

I've had the opportunity to measure fuel economy on repeated long trips using the same car with cruise control.  Even Sunoco's old subregular grade gave me the same fuel economy (about 41 MPG) as anything else.

Here's the rule.  Use the lowest octane gas that your car can use.  Raise it if the engine knocks.  Higher octane just makes the engine run hotter.  It's not "the good stuff".

I don't know, but Arco adds ATM fees unless cash only, and Cosco has long lines which costs time.
