Iran literally translated means "Land of the Aryans".

The only "connection" they could have possibly had was in PREHISTORIC HISTORY, as in the ORIGINAL trek of human kind out of Africa and beyond the Babylonian Basin. Then I guess we could ALL have that claim.

Aryans are said to be by popular theory descended from the light skinned warriors who lived in Tibet/Iran area 4,000 years ago. Hence you will find in many old temples in Tibet and Iran swastikas, which is an old Aryan symbol. Hitler used the swastika as a sort of nostalgia token of ancient heritage.

     Anyway the vast majority of these Aryans at some point mass migrated into what is Norther Europe. They displaced the native Celts and became the main ethnic group. To this day the majority of all Germans, Scandinavians, French, North Italians, English, Dutch, etc.. All have almost purely Germanic/Aryan ancestry.

       As for Hitler and his view on Iranians. Iran not being called Iran yet back then, but still called Persia. Hitler considered the Persians to be the brothers in blood that stayed behind in the great western trek/migration. Persia later changed it's name into Iran aka "Land of the Aryans," as a sort of token to it being the birth place of the Germanics of the white race more or less.
