  1. possibly.  nothing quite so funny as a big girl ordering a bucket of chicken... and a diet coke.

  2. Nope.  The known ingredients in present day Coca-Cola are water. caffeine, phosphoric acid, vanilla, various oils and essences and extracts of the coca leaf and the kola nut. The one in four hundred part of cocaine was removed from Coca-Cola in 1903 long before the war on Drugs was concieved or Diet Coke for that matter  Coke launched Diet Coke in July 1982 with a $100 million ad campaign, putting the swooshy wave trademark on a product other than Coca-Cola for the first time since 1886, when the company was formed. Diet Coke was marketed to compet with Tab Cola which was one of the first "popular" lower calorie sodas at the time.  A year after being introduced, Diet Coke became the best selling low-calorie soft drink in America -- a position it has never relinquished. By 1986, Diet Coke -- or Coca-Cola Light, as it is known abroad -- was the most popular low-calorie beverage in the world, served in 61 countries.
