  1. Its OLD and to me the food is all fast food.

Mushie salad and frozen steak and the sea food is like yuck.

I think it came in in the 70's and isn't going out fast enough for me.

The town I lived in closed its doors.

It used to be good and fresh, but over time and change, its a dump.....

  2. I used to eat there a lot twenty years ago but not so much lately. I think their steaks are on the tough side.

  3. Yeah... all over Detroit areas.  They are good once in a while.

    Reasonably priced, as well.

  4. my dad loves ponderosa..  if your expectations aren't too high you will too..

my dad's favorite restaurant (for your reverence) is hometown buffet.

  5. I've had alot better, I've had alot worse.  Ryans, Old Country Buffet, Bonanza, Golden Coral - these are a heck of alot better!

The most recent I've been to is in LaGrange, KY and it was nasty.  We gave it 3 tries.  Dirty, poor service, and the food was so so.  Other Ponderosa's we've been were cleaner but the service and food weren't all that great.

  6. Ponderosa has been in business for a long time.  It has changed over the years and most recently not necessarily for the better.  The restaurants are a chain but are operated by individuals and therefore you can find vast differences between locations.  Our local one closed several years ago but in a neighboring town there is still one that is so variable that one time the meal is quite good and the next nothing seems to be quite right.  The one in Binghamton, NY has been fairly good any time I've been there but then that is a bit of  a trip so I don't go that often.
