apparently the government funded a scheme to make wireless internet access available to remote areas. is this true?

    Okay, lets be clear.

    Main cities in Spain have many hotspots in bus/train stations, amusement centres..etc...but on which Spain is not the leadering country in Europe...at all.

    But what they told you about the South...they are probably talking about is the internet-connected 1.097 square kilometer area in Cordoba. I involves  100.000 people living in 11 towns. The connections made between them (phone calls i mean) also use that communication system, making it free.

    This has encouraged many other areas to start similar projects, what would increase the people touring the place, or maybe even moving there.
