That isn't true because all electronics will have a failure rate. It is impossible to have a 0% failure rate.

k here we go.  I'll say this as easy as possible.  Right now microsoft is using a gpu that uses a lot of power.  They are switching to the new more energy efficient card in the future, they probably have them made now just waiting to ship.  THe new gpu won't make xbox completely immune to rrod, but it will make the chance of getting rrod very very very slim.  The 60gb xbox price will drop on september 7, when they start selling the new gpus.  And the 20gb is already discontinued.
