  1. I'm not sure I would call them. I am so peeved w/Blue Cross Blue Shield right now! I just switch from OB to a midwife and got a surprise $400 EOB to be billed to my OB office. I mean come on if they were professional enough I would have stayed there! Sorry I think I'm ranting.

  2. I got straight honest answers from a good friend that works for Blue Cross Blue Shield.  Each Blue Cross is an independent agency, each state has their own Blue Cross, therefore, each state can make their own rules about what they cover, what they don't.  Now, since you know all that, some states do not cover fertility pills.  They believe if you can't get pregnant naturally, without the use of pills, they should not have to cover it, so, they don't.  This is some states, not all.  It all boils down to who is on the decision board for each state.

That being said, call up your Blue Cross Blue Shield Office in your state to see what's covered, what's not before you make any decisions about prescriptions or anything else your doctor does, or have your doctor check to see what's covered first.  That is part of the office's job.

Many doctors are pill happy, so, many times they don't check or even care.

Some insurances only cover generic drugs if those are available.  So, when you say you don't want generic, your insurance company does not have to cover the full priced name brand version.  It's in their fine print, lol!  =)

Call Blue Cross Blue Shield yourself and find out if they will cover this or not in your state.

  3. False i have a beautiful little 3 year old and never had a problem out of them with her

I am going for another round trying for number 2 and they even pay for my meds i need so they are awesome

they can not ask how you got pregnant or if you had help getting pregnant

but if you want to know for sure call them and ask

also ask about baby first it is a program that if you call in your first trimester you get a check from them for things baby needs
