  1. Yes.  They can detect blood at at least 1 mile away.

  2. P***k no, you're more likely to get into a car wreck than get hit by a shark.

  3. In almost fifty years in the ocean and back bays, I have never seen a shark attack a menstruating woman!

  4. Use a tampon - I've had cuts on me from minor fin chops or reef scratches and kept surfing with no shark attacks, so no I don't think you would get attacked. I also surf with girls in the water and the thought had never crossed my mind.

  5. one drop won't triger there sences it's a huge salty ocean the blood would be disoved in in a few seconds.

  6. id say stay out of the water...sum ppl on hear havnt heard of rips and ocean curents so ur right they can detect u from miles..b safe yeah

  7. You have a better chance of getting struck by lightning.

  8. try tampons

  9. yeah, but it's much worse when the shark has it's period

  10. It's not in distance, it's in gallons of water and yes during your period DO NOT SURF! Sharks are very sensitive to scent.  Sharks sense blood in millions of gallons of water, only a drop will trigger their senses.  Though the odds of getting bit by a shark aren't high at all getting bit by a shark while you are in your period heightens the chances soooooo much! Please don't surf during your period would be the gist of this excessively long paragraph in which I could have just said "yes." well, that was fun.  See ya.

  11. Nothing more is important than your life, so stay away from ocean during your period.

       Enjoy sun bath out side.
