I heard that if you put a corrupted memory card in a freezer for an hour, it will fix itself??

Has anyone heard this or tried this method. I have a Nyko 64 MB memory card for my Nintendo Gamecube. After copying a file to it, it said the card needs to be formatted. I can no longer access any data on it. I have not formatted it yet. Thanks in advance!!

Don't put it in the freezer. It probably won't do any harm, but it won't fix it. I'm pretty sure the frost won't come to life, take apart your memory card and tamper with it and somehow magically fix it. The wires can freeze and when ice melts, water appears. Water is not good for the insides of a memory card.
