I heard that the LG Rumor had a texting lag, is that true? And what other potential problems are there?

I have the LG AX8600 with Alltel but my mom's getting a discount for Sprint through work so we're switching. I don't really like many of the Sprint phones but the Rumor looks decent and I do text a lot. My question is, does this phone have an issue with the screen keeping up with my fingers? And is there anything else I should know about before purchasing?

my friend has the rumor.

it's pretty good actually.

the texting for me isn't that bad but the keys feel like they overlap eachother.
