Is this true? for example Germany has taken steps such as using solar panels throughout their country. Why haven't we taken any initiative towards the matter of saving our precious natural resouces that are only so infinite?

  1. So what? We have our own issues. We are not Europe. They are liberal, that's why. They also do not have as much natural resources for energy production.

  2. The US is not behind.  We have the technology to do all of those things, and more

The reason why things like that aren't being done on a massive scale in the US are because Big Oil is very powerful and they will lose money when our cars run off or electricity and water.  It's all political and greed driven.

  3. Cristals blog is c**p because she doesn't really have any good resources, only a few websites she read.  You can't believe everything you read on the web.  You need hard documentation from an expert in the field.  Anyone can go online, make a web page and call themselves an expert. You should find a more reputable source.  BUT she is right about the US and it IS all about the money.

Man if I even tried to write a research paper using web pages I'd be asked not to return to the class until I take it seriously, If not fail the whole course for a dim-wit mistake such as that!

  4. i so know what you mean.

like im in 8th grade but like in class the should make one of the classes to pick up trash. btw if every one complanes about gas prices then buy a hybrid or an electric engine

  5. To say the US is behind is misleading. All nations have not done enough. The US has done a lot but the problem we face is huge. We have to find a replacement(s) for oil and other fossil fuels. The US has had a conservation campaign since at least the 1970s when the Arab Oil embargo took place. Some utility companies get their power from wind mills. There will be some power plants that are in the ocean that get their power from the wind. There are numerous dams that supply clean power. Solving the oil crisis will take years, or decades really. There is not one solution but many solutions that will need to be put in place.

  6. Because many Americans understand that the whole "Going Green" thing is lie attempting to use fear to ensure that people around the world give up their freedoms.  I for one am mad that the government is dictating what light bulb I use.  How dare they!  Where in the Constitution were they granted the right!?

  7. It is true, compared to pretty much the rest of the world, the US is stuck in the 70's which makes it at about the third world level these days.
