that is a complete lie. Where ever you are getting your sources from is absolutely wrong. I am 15 and been to six flags several of times and i never got hurt.

If you mean that the rides don't have to be checked that is false.  Theme Park performs maintenance checks every day, and is often inspected by state agencies.  This is their business and it is not good public relations to have people dying on your rides.

Not that there are not deaths at Theme Parks, but the number you heard is very misleading.  There is a lot of difference between being "hurt" or being "killed".   Any injury that occurs and gets reported counts as an injury.  So if someone cuts their finger or trips and scrapes their knee that is considered an injury.  But this nothing even close to being fatal.  So it is very possible that there are 14999 injuries and 1 death.  Compared to the millions of people that visit these parks a year that is a very low number for both.

Last time I went to Six Flags I was pressured into going on VIPER. and got stuck on it at the Very top in the heat with my brother. We had to walk down the stairs it was not worth the lousy compensation of a front row line spot for my next ride. Needless to say I won't go on many big coasters anymore.
