I'm not surprised at all. This kind of vehemence and nastiness was bound to backfire. Obama may have gained respect from those of us who aren't for him with his comment, but he hasn't been able to stop the immature, nasty childishness from the haters. You can only go after a 17 year old so much before people get really angry.
