I heard there is going to be a gas-out on my 15th.?

not if i need gas... i think this is nonsense u dont buy on one day, then the next day u fuel up all ur cars... its useless to do this.... just my opinion....

This has been tried for years and it doesn't do anything.  If I need gas, I'll buy it, but it's not something I buy every day or even every week anyway.

Where did you hear this?

This is an urban legend.  It's been going around the internet for years, sometimes the date changes, but the story stays the same.

When you get emails saying stuff like "help this poor sick boy" or "this girl is missing" or "national gas out"  check them out on snopes.com, this site lists all sorts of false stuff.

p.s. Type 'gas out' in google and you'll see how many sites have this listed as a myth.
